Constellation Australia - Product Visualisation
The main focus of this exercise was nailing the realism through attention to detail in the materials and lighting. Though the materials are simple, a lot of thought went into physical material properties and and things tend to be done in the cosmetic industry. As for lighting and rendering, I focused on the tasteful application of rim lighting and placement of different light sources.
This artwork was created as part of a marketing campaign for fictional cosmetic brand "Constellation". The client commissioned me to create this work to complement his portfolio where he showcases his skills in; brand direction, photography, print design, and more.
The guiding principles for these designs was elegance and premium product. To quote the client "Constellation is a fictional brand of lipstick that targets the premium, first tier fashion market. The premiere supplier of makeup to London and Paris fashion shows."

I modelled this from scratch and created the materials following brand guidelines. The lighting and rendering was set up to client specifications.
Product display
This scene was designed to showcase the product and its range of associated marketing material.
This composition was designed to complement the product page as a whole. As such, it is more passive not requiring any real hero element.
